Northbar "Flying Squid" Pencil Popper Lure
The Northbar Flying Squid lures are large pencil popper lures that raise fish. The Flying Squid features an improved pencil popper design with features not seen before on surface lures. Like a bomb's stabilizing finds, the Flying Squid has fins at the head end. These allow for greater distance when casting into a head wind because they stabilize its flight which virtually eliminates wobble and cuts wind resistance. The fins also cause substantially more turbulence when the lure is worked on the surface, due to the increased square inches of lure body slapping the surface water as it is "popped", and pencil poppers are all about commotion on the surface. You will quickly notice how much easier it is to work this lure, and how much value the fins add to the total package. This lure is the result of over two years of flight studies, r&d, and prototyping and I'm very happy to finally get it in your hands.
